Why can't I book a class or group service online?
To ensure we can accommodate for your entire party, a spa representative will need to customize your appointment/class. 
Can I reserve the spa for a group?
Absolutely! There is a minimum guest requirement that varies depending on the day. Give us a call at (703) 718-4881 to chat with one of our spa representatives.
Can I request my favorite technician?
Yes! we encourage you to share your preference of technician to ensure we have you scheduled correctly.
May I request a Male or Female technician?
Yes, we remain sensitive to the concerns of guests regarding religion, safety and other various concerns.
*Note: Our staff is trained in establishing if request for therapist are of a professional nature. Guests who enact in or encourage unprofessional behavior will have their current and future booking rights revoked and their appointment cancelled with full payment due according to our cancellation policy.

Yes, we're located inside Archer Hotel on King Street in Old Town Alexandria
What's the parking like?
Guest of the spa may take advantage of valet parking at a special rate. Verification may be required. Metered street parking is also available. Street parking is often free on Sundays.
Are you near the Metro?
Yes, we're are within walking distance of the King Street Metro Station.
Do you have spa facilities we can use?
Yes, we have male and female locker rooms where guests can shower and enjoy the steam rooms.
Do you have a couple's room?
Yes, we have a couple's room that has been customized to the new space.
Does this spa require paperwork to be completed before the appointment?
Yes, our system is HIPPA compliant and each client needs to fill complete their individual health intake forms to work with a technician. These forms are sent out at the time of booking and in the confirmation email/SMS. We recommend completing these forms before your appointment so we don't have to cut into your appointment time.

Service Appointments

Appointments may be scheduled online, by phone, or in person. A valid credit card may be required to reserve your appointment. We encourage guests to arrive 10–15 minutes early to allow time to relax and complete any necessary forms. Late arrivals may result in a shortened service time to avoid disrupting the next guest. The full-service fee will still apply.

Cancellation and No-Show Policy

Your appointment time is reserved especially for you. We require at least 24 hours’ notice to cancel or reschedule. Appointments canceled with less than 24 hours’ notice, missed appointments, or same-day cancellations will be charged the full service amount. Group bookings, packages, or specialty services may require additional notice and deposits.

Service Charges and Gratuity

A 20% service charge is applied to all non-medical spa services. This charge supports our professional service providers and operational excellence. Additional gratuity is always optional and appreciated, but never required.

Payments and Pricing

We accept major credit cards and other approved payment methods. Prices, services, and availability are subject to change without notice. Gift cards, prepaid services, and packages are non-refundable and may not be redeemed for cash except where required by law.

Memberships and Packages

Memberships and service packages are designed to provide consistency in care and exceptional value. Billing schedules, minimum commitments, rollover terms, and cancellation requirements will be provided at the time of enrollment. Membership fees are billed automatically according to the selected plan and remain active unless canceled according to the agreement terms.

Health and Wellness Information

To ensure your safety and comfort, you may be asked to complete an intake form and share relevant health information. It is your responsibility to provide accurate and current information and to notify us of any changes in your health or medications prior to your service. JoyLife SPA services are designed for relaxation and wellness and are not a substitute for medical diagnosis or treatment.

Guest Conduct and Right to Refuse Service

JoyLife SPA is a space of calm, professionalism, and mutual respect. We reserve the right to refuse or discontinue service to anyone who displays inappropriate behavior, arrives under the influence of drugs or alcohol, or presents a condition that may make service unsafe. Any form of harassment, inappropriate conduct, or disrespect toward staff or other guests will result in immediate termination of the service. Full charges will apply.

Personal Belongings

While secure areas are provided for your convenience, JoyLife SPA is not responsible for lost, stolen, or damaged personal items. We recommend leaving valuables at home.

Gift Cards and Promotions

Gift cards do not expire unless issued as part of a promotional offer with stated terms. Promotions may not be combined and may include expiration dates or usage limitations as disclosed at the time of purchase.

Guest may cancel their scheduled appointment for any reason up to 24-Hours before the appointment time. Within 24 hours of the scheduled appointment, guests will be required to pay 100% of the service cost including the 20% service charge unless the appointment can be successfully rebooked with another client for equal or more value.  This ensures the technician and support staff are fully compensated for the time of your reservation. If you cannot make your appointment within the 24-hour window, please give us a call immediately as we may have a waitlist allowing you to skip the entire cancellation fee. No-Call/N0-Show appointments will be charged for the full amount of the service including the 20% service charge

Same-day rescheduled appointments will incur a 50% rebooking fee without service charge.
